Delphin Technology - Overview MinMessage

Delphin's modular MinMessage device enables the acquisition of any physical value (e.g. temperature, pressure, flow). The device includes 1 or 2 I/O modules which can be combined in any way according to requirements.
Message devices are being used in a range of applications: in laboratories, the comprehensive monitoring of containers, measurement data acquisition at engine testing benches etc..

Each analog input can be used for RTD, thermocouple, volt or mA signals (module ADGM). There is no need for expensive transducers and potential isolation means no requirement for amplifiers. Signal conditioning is integrated within the device.

The 21 Bit, accurate measurement capability ensures precise data acquisition. Measurement values are stored as scaled and linearised (e.g. Bar, Liter/sec, m/min, °C etc.). Scaling of thermocouples and RTD sensors are preconfigured. Potential isolation of all inputs eliminates the risk of earth loops. The MinMessage power supply is DC-decoupled as are the device's ports.

MinMessage devices can function autonomously and are therefore not dependent on unreliable PCs and networks. If a network fails, the acquisition and storage of measurement data can still continue. MinMessage devices are equipped with an integrated data storage capability guaranteeing secure data acquisition, independently from PCs.

Connecting to PCs takes place via serial ports (RS232 or networking via RS 485).

MinMessage devices are equipped with functions for averaging calculations and the monitoring of limit values on analog inputs.

Configuration takes place using PCs. The "Busmanager" software is available for use here. Configuration data is securely saved within the device. System configuration takes place online using a PC. Evaluation of data can be performed using the MHouse software Basic Package.
