Universal I/O configuration

Expert Key devices series have full potential isolation in the form of analog differential inputs. Users configure these according to requirements as mA/mV and V signals as well as for RTD or thermocouples. This enables universal usage and simplifies day to day operation of the device.

Integrated signal conditioning enables any sensor to be connected to the screw terminals and permits immediate processing with scaled data.  Recalculation from mA signal to bar, % etc. is unnecessary.

Switching between current and voltage analog output is made simple via software.

Digital inputs (status inputs with counters of up to 1MHz) and digital outputs (switch outputs, PWM-outputs) with switch capacities of up to 30W are included within the compact device and can be used at no extra cost or effort.

Each channel is easily configured at sampling rates of 100 KHz using the DataService/Configurator software included in the delivery. Just select the required sensor, measurement range and scale to have measurement data displayed immediately on the screen.

Full potential isolation

The Expert Key provides full potential isolation, a feature that many low-cost products lack. The analogs, with 18-bit AD converter, as well as the digitals are galvanically isolated from the central unit (a modern FPGA) and from the PC interfaces (Ethernet/USB). This eliminates problems of earth loops or non-isolated signals, and extra signal converters are usually then unnecessary.

Highly communicative

The devices are equipped with a USB port for plug and play operation and an Ethernet port for data acquisition using company networks. These enable fast system set-up and mobile measurement, using a laptop and the ProfiSignal Go software, as well as fixed installations in cabinet systems.
