New features in the software ProfiSignal 3.1
The new ProfiSignal 3.1 from Delphin Technology is now available. The new version gives users many new functions combined with upgraded usability. This further improves ProfiSignal as software for universal measurement and automation requirements. Continuous monitoring systems, for example, need high levels of data security and availability and will benefit from the new functions in version 3.1.
The ProfiSignal DataService is a centralized database, suitable for transient and slow measurement data, and enables online computations and statistical functions to be directly performed at a server level. Averaging and edge counting run as fully automated and reliable background services. The DataService can now function as server to enable remote data transfer via UMTS technology. A ModBus TCP interface has been implemented for recording from sensors or actuators via a LAN connection.
The ProfiSignal Klicks programming language has been upgraded with a data flow command that further simplifies applications development. For the processing of high speed signals, version 3.1 is equipped with an oscilloscope diagram that can be tailored to the needs of any application. The new file factory is used to combine measurement data files so that analysis can be performed within a single system.
ProfiSignal now enables the internal data memories from Message devices to be automatically synchronized to PC recording thereby significantly enhancing data security.

Galvanically isolated data acquisition using Message devices
The ADGT 3.0 gives Delphin's Message products an additional eight universal analog inputs I/O module. Each analog input has galvanic isolation of up to 650 V DC. Galvanic isolation is an important feature when acquiring measurement data from live electrical components, e.g. in the product testing of household appliances or electrical motors. Using the ADGT3.0 I/O module avoids the need for additional amplifiers. Message devices also have galvanically isolated power supply units and interfaces resulting in complete protection against interference and earth loops. Users also get additional security through the Message device's internal data memory as well as its software channel feature that enable monitoring functions to be performed.
A Message device with 16 galvanically isolated analog inputs measures just 200 x 90 x 110 mm and requires minimal installation space. The ADGT 3.0's analog inputs can be individually configured. Each channel can be used to measure mV or mA signals or any type of thermocouple or RTD sensor. Universal inputs enable any unit of measurement to be acquired (e.g. temperature, pressure flow, vibration etc.). Data is scaled directly and linearly recorded. Differential inputs from RTD measurements as well as reference currents from the Message devices are all galvanically isolated. 24-bit resolution A/D converters deliver high-level precision and enable extremely small signals to be directly connected (e.g. any type of thermocouple).

ProfiMessage – state of the art modular measurement technology
ProfiMessage is the new powerful system from Delphin for data acquisition, monitoring and automation of machinery, plant and test stands. ProfiMessage is a modular system that uses master and salve devices and a range of different I/O modules to adapt to any task. Areas of application range from the monitoring of industrial processes through to laboratory data acquisition and test stand automation.
ProfiMessage devices have universal connectivity and their flexible I/O modules provide a wide range of process interface options. Profibus-DP, Modbus or CAN-bus enable connections to PLC control systems for data exchange.
Analog and digital sensor signals can record data simultaneously to an independent 16 GB memory that enables subsequent data analysis and evaluation. The data memory can be read out using either USB or Ethernet interfaces.
Every input and output is differential, high-precision and galvanically isolated. Depending on the type of I/O module being used, each input can be configured separately to measure mV, mA, RTDs and thermocouples. ProfiMessage is also equipped with digital inputs, for functioning as status or frequency inputs, as well as digital/analog outputs.
Internal software channels enable functions such as limit value monitoring, integration or online computations, and are easy to configure. These enable the devices to de effectively deployed as monitoring and record-keeping systems.

Expert Key P
Delphin Technology AG are extending the Expert Key series with the Expert Key 100P and 200P models. These are intended for use in experiment and testing environments. They meet requirements from laboratories, research and development departments as well as from quality assurance especially in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
The models, which can be operated as tabletop or wall mounted versions, are intended for users requiring measurement data acquisition, monitoring, analysis and the automation of experiments and test stands. The Expert Key P devices feature tool-free connectivity that saves time and money. The new models use the tried and tested 4 mm safety lab plugs.
Universal analog inputs enable direct connection of RTD sensors, thermocouples and mV and mA signals. Precision resistors, required for measuring currents, are already integrated and can be switched to the required channel. Inputs are galvanically isolated and therefore protected against earth loops.
The Expert Key P devices are equipped with USB and network interfaces. Delivery includes the ProfiSignal Go software enabling experiments to be managed and operated directly from a PC workstation. A comprehensive package of drivers is also included for communication with existing software systems.

More data-logger for your applications
LogMessage is a compact data logger that can acquire, monitor, calculate and store any kind of measurement data. An internal 1 GB data memory enables independent storage of up to 128 million measurement values. Internal and versatile software channels provide direct pre-processing and monitoring of measurement data. A ModBus TCP interface enables data exchange to PLC or process control systems. LogMessage is available in seven versions with varying input and output options.
The LogMessage's analog inputs are differentially and galvanically isolated from each other as well as from the power supply. All analog inputs have universal usage capability (e.g. for thermocouple, RTD, voltage or current signals). LogMessage devices are particularly suited to temperature measurement. Sampling rates can reach 100 measurements per channel per second.
Configuration takes place via "DataService Configurator" software, and measurement data read-out via a network interface. Dual serial ports enable modem connection for remote access as well as additional hardware connection options for data transfer purposes. Alarm notifications and text messages may also be transmitted using a GSM modem. When LogMessage is operated within a network, measurement data can be transmitted online and portrayed using the ProfiSignal software included with the device.

ProfiSignal software extended with a new version of "Go"
Delphin has added a new version to its ProfiSignal measurement and automation software. Along with ProfiSignal Basic and Klicks versions, ProfiSignal Go is now also available as an entry-level solution. Go is suitable for users of Delphin Expert or Message hardware who wish to acquire, store and analyse measurement data. ModBus TCP and OPC client are available for connecting other measurement data acquisition systems. ProfiSignal Go provides not only offline measurement data evaluation but also an easy to use online mode. In online mode, portraying measurement data is live and immediate.
Go has been designed to display measurement data trends in just three steps. For batch processes, the storage of measurement data takes place using a recorder function. For continuous processes, a DataService is used that records data as a background Windows service. The user has uninterrupted access to online and offline data. The DataService software is included with ProfiSignal Go. Along with the standard diagrams, a new characteristic y(x,z) diagram is now integrated into ProfiSignal.
During the development of Go, emphasis was given to intuitive operation and improved usability.

Expert Series - the new class in the PC-measuring technology
The new Expert Key L hardware from Delphin has been developed specifically for PC-based data acquisition and automation. The universal devices can be used for data acquisition, monitoring and analysing as well as for experiment and test stand automation. Expert Key 100L and 200L are table top devices. The connection options are accessed by simply pressing the detachable lid. Measurement sensors are connected via plugs located at the sides. Wall mounting is possible using the supplied bracket.
The Expert Key 100L is equipped with a good range of analog and digital inputs and outputs and is therefore highly suited for test engineering purposes. The Expert Key 200L has 28 universal inputs and is intended more for analog data acquisition. Expert Key L-devices are equipped with USB and network interfaces for optional use. Inputs and outputs on the Expert Key L-devices are universal and therefore suitable for a range of different types of applications. Each channel can be separately configured for mV, mA, thermocouple or RTD input. A sampling rate of up to 100,000 measurement values per second can be optionally assigned to specific channels. Inputs have galvanic isolation and are therefore protected against earth loops. Experiments can be controlled or events triggered via analog, digital or PWM outputs. Digital inputs are available for acquiring conditions, frequencies or pulses.
The ProfiSignal Go software is provided with each Expert Key L-device. Measurement or automation can then begin at no extra cost.
